Tyler Wallace - Owner DJ/MC
Tyler is a top-choice open-format DJ. He started Custom Sound back in 1998. Coming from a big family of DJs and musicians, music has always been in his blood. Growing up surrounded by music helped shape him into the DJ he is today. Over the years, he’s mixed for some incredible clients like Budweiser, the New England Patriots, Bose, Ford, the Boston Cannons, UMASS, plus national dance competitions and fashion shows. Tyler’s even had the chance to take his talents international, playing at destination weddings in Mexico, Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, England, and Canada.
Beyond performing, he co-owns Harvest of Sound Boston, a DJ conference focused on helping DJs level up with skills, insights, and networking. But at the end of the day, weddings are his true passion, and he’s poured his heart into making Custom Sound what it is today. For Tyler, nothing beats the energy of a great event, and he’s committed to delivering an unforgettable experience every time.
Jay - DJ/MC
Jay spends the bulk of his time finding ways to both evolve and challenge himself, standing out from the competition in the process. He has mastered the art of being a DJ, he understands it’s beauty and science. This sense of knowing the right song (tempo, genre, vibe) to drop at the right time is something that comes naturally to Jay. Playing everything from throwbacks, reggae, dancehall and top 40, to pop hits, rock, country, and EDM, Jay has played all of the most notable local nightclubs (alongside local music royalty), held multiple residencies, and played exclusive special events. This made the transition into weddings come naturally. The transition into the wedding scene was a natural progression for Jay, a testament to the substantial investment of time and effort he has dedicated to developing his distinctive sound. Building a robust foundation and cultivating a devoted following, Jay takes great pleasure in working closely with couples to craft the perfect soundtrack for one of the most significant days of their lives. His professional approach ensures that each note played contributes to an unforgettable and harmonious celebration.
